Editorial Policy

This page explains where our facts come from, how we check them, how we use AI assistance, and how we correct ourselves. It is written by the NEET Help Center Editorial Team, which is responsible for every page here. The site is operated by Gyaniversity Publications, an Indian educational publisher.

We publish on admissions and exam process. We do not publish clinical or medical content of any kind.

1. Sourcing standard

Official portals are the only authority for dates, fees, eligibility and counselling rules. For NEET-UG those are:

— neet.nta.nic.in — the National Testing Agency, for the exam: notification, application, admit card, answer key, result and the Information Bulletin.

— mcc.nic.in — the Medical Counselling Committee, for All India Quota, deemed university and other MCC-conducted counselling.

— nmc.org.in — the National Medical Commission, for medical education regulation, seat matrices and foreign-degree requirements.

— The relevant state counselling authority portal, for state-quota admission, domicile rules and state fees. State rules are set by state authorities, not MCC, and we always say which authority owns a rule.

Every factual claim carries its source and its date, inline, in the form "As of the [document name], dated [date]", with a link to the primary document. Secondary sources — news reports, coaching blogs, forums — may be cited for context, but they are labelled as secondary and are never the authority for a rule, fee or deadline.

2. How we verify, and what we do when sources disagree

Before a fact is published, an editor opens the primary document and reads the clause. If a claim cannot be found in one, we either leave it out, label it as unverified, or show you how to find the clause yourself rather than assert a number we cannot defend.

Where sources conflict, we show the conflict — both figures, both sources, and which document would settle it. We do not silently pick the more convenient number.

Where an authority has not announced something, we say so, give the date on which that was true, and explain what usually happens at that step. We do not publish an empty schedule table under a headline that promises dates. Where a rule is contested or applied differently by different states, we say so and tell you to confirm with the authority that decides it.

3. Review cadence and page dates

NEET rules change every cycle, and counselling rules can change mid-cycle. Every page carries a published date and a last-reviewed date.

Rules-based pages — eligibility, fees, documents, certificates, counselling rounds and penalties — are reviewed at the start of each NEET cycle against that cycle's official bulletin, and again whenever an authority issues a notice affecting them. Each carries a line telling you to verify against the current year's bulletin, with the link.

We do not change a page's date to make it look fresh. A date moves only when the content has actually been reviewed or changed.

4. Corrections

Report an error to hello@neethelpcenter.com or gyaniversity.publications@gmail.com. Tell us the page and, if you have it, the official document that contradicts us.

We aim to respond within 3 working days. A confirmed error is corrected, or the claim removed, once we have verified the correct position against the primary source. Corrections are logged on the page itself, with the date and a note saying what changed. We do not delete errors quietly.

5. Use of AI assistance

Some drafts on this site are AI-assisted. We say so plainly, because you are entitled to know how what you are reading was made. We use AI assistance to draft updates quickly when official notices arrive faster than a small team can write. We do not use it to decide what is true.

Every published page is reviewed by a human editor from the NEET Help Center Editorial Team against the primary source before it goes live, and every claim is checked against the official document it cites. AI is never the final authority on a fact, date, fee or rule. Pages drafted with AI assistance carry a visible note saying so, with the review date.

6. Independence, advertising and product disclosure

— We take no commission. No college, coaching institute, admission consultancy or overseas-university agency pays us, and we do not accept payment to feature, rank or recommend an institution.

— We collect nothing. No phone number, no email gate, no lead form, no "book a slot" widget, no "unlock your result" wall. There is no data to sell.

— Ads are labelled and separate. This site carries advertising. It is clearly distinguishable from editorial content, and advertisers have no influence over what we publish. Ad revenue never decides editorial content.

— Our operator's products are disclosed. Gyaniversity Publications publishes study guides and learning material. Where we mention them, the block is labelled as our own product, says we earn money if you buy, and sits below the content. It never appears on counselling, result, money, quota, document, failure or drop-decision pages.

7. What we will never publish

— Leaked question papers, "confirmed" paper predictions, or any material claiming to be an unreleased exam paper.

— Guaranteed-result, guaranteed-rank or guaranteed-seat claims, ours or anybody else's.

— Paid agent, broker, "management quota" or seat-arrangement services, or contact details for anyone offering them.

— Scraped solution dumps, copied official text passed off as ours, or content assembled by rewriting somebody else's page.

— Statistics without a named, linkable source; single-number rank or college predictions presented as certainty; or past-paper "likelihood" figures not derived from a specific, linked official paper.

— Scarcity, countdown or "last chance" framing. On any page touching failure, low scores, drop years or leaving medicine, we carry current Indian crisis-helpline information, and never imply that a medical seat is the only acceptable outcome.

8. Non-affiliation

NEET Help Center is an independent, free help site. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the National Testing Agency (NTA), the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), the National Medical Commission (NMC), or any state counselling authority. We do not conduct NEET, we do not allot seats, and we cannot change their decisions.

The official sources are neet.nta.nic.in for the exam, mcc.nic.in for All India Quota counselling and nmc.org.in for medical education regulation. Where our page and an official document disagree, the official document is correct — please tell us so we can fix ours.
