NEET UG Syllabus 2026: The NCERT-Based Chapter Guide
The NEET UG syllabus is set by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The current version was released on 23 December 2025. It is structured around NCERT Class 11 and Class 12 chapters for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology — making NCERT the single most important study source for most aspirants.

Rationalized NCERT editions matter: NCERT revised its textbooks under the rationalized-syllabus editions, renumbering and removing some chapters. - Check your NCERT edition — Confirm you have the current rationalized editions for Class 11 and Class 12 for all subjects.
- Work chapter by chapter with PYQs — For each chapter, read the NCERT text, note diagrams and exceptions, then practice related PYQs immediately. This is the highest-yield preparation loop.
