NEET UG Result, Percentile & Scorecard: How to Read Them
The NEET UG result is published on the official NTA NEET portal, typically in June. The result shows your raw marks, NTA score (percentile), and All India Rank (AIR). Understanding the difference between these three numbers is important for counselling planning.
Marks vs NTA score vs rank
| Term | What it means |

| Raw marks | Your actual score out of 720, based on the final answer key (+4/−1). |
| NTA score (percentile) | The percentage of candidates who scored at or below you in the same session. It is not the same as your marks percentage. |
| All India Rank (AIR) | Your position among all NEET UG candidates. Derived from the NTA score. Two candidates with the same NTA score are separated by tie-breaking rules. |
| Qualifying percentile | The minimum percentile required to be eligible for counselling. Set by NMC each cycle (e.g., 50th for General, 40th for OBC/SC/ST in 2025). |
How to check and download your scorecard
- Open the official portal — Go to neet.nta.nic.in when the result notice is published.
- Log in with your credentials — Use application number and date of birth or password.
- Download the scorecard PDF — Save and print the official scorecard. It is needed for counselling and for DigiLocker access in some cycles.
- Note your AIR and category rank — Your AIR determines your position in the counselling merit list. Category rank applies to reserved-category seats.
Scorecard via DigiLocker: NTA has issued NEET scorecards through DigiLocker in recent cycles. Check the official result notice for whether DigiLocker is active for the current cycle and how to access it.
